Case Study: Multicultural Hair Salon Branding Project

Case Study: Multicultural Hair Salon Branding Project

Strategy: Brand a new hair salon for a stylist with 20+ years of experience working with diverse textures of hair.

This new hair salon needed help in 3 areas:

1. Nomenclature – This client already has name recognition. Therefore, using her personal name in the logo combined with the word ‘multicultural’ made sense.

2. Logo Design – Part of the logotype was based on the client’s general facial profile to aid in recognition. A script font was integrated to reflect her personality and the brand positioning of the salon: understated yet classy. A flexible logo identity system emerged to communicate different facets of the business: hairstyling, hair care and retail.

3. Marketing Materials – Promo materials, SMS messaging and digital materials were created to promote her grand opening to established and potential clients.

Ron is especially excellent at logo design and branding. I work with teams who have used his skills over the years and we have always been pleased. Ron is also an educator, youth worker, and urban cultural strategist of sorts. I highly recommend him for various consultations or positions you might have available. You won’t be sorry.
